(Senior) Product Design Engineer

OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for dynamic, creative, talented, inspirational and committed design engineers to deliver an extraordinary pipeline of new products for the fastest-growing consumer product business in the world. The role will be responsible for new product design development across a range of different projects.

•    Collaborate with cross functional teams to Deliver 5 stars product to consumer
•    Opportunity to work across many different product categories across Shark and Ninja brands 
•    Pursue and provide creative idea for new and existing products 
•    Communication with Global team to ensure design specifications and KPIs can be achieved
•    Problem solving, design optimisations and root cause investigations to support creation of new, innovative solutions for consumers around the world
•    Business travel to CN/SEA to drive project delivery

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

Responsibilities:
•    Professionally design and develop innovative design solutions and products in a fast-paced team environment. 
•    Provide solid modeling and prototype support on technology development and new product development projects. 
•    Using sound engineering principles refine concepts into reliable designs that meet performance, compliance, product integrity and aesthetic requirements.
•    Design for manufacturability, for SEA/Global production environments. 
•    Generate part specifications, including detailed drawings and specifications.
•    Communicate design to team members and factories. 
•    Perform product prototyping and testing, write test requests and obtain quotes from internal and external sources. 
•    Support continuous improvement of existing products.

Experience required:  
•    At least 6 years’ experience in product development in high volume consumer products, floorcare products preferred. 
•    3D CAD proficiency, design experience in multiple processes such as: plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, machining processes, and assembly processes. 
•    Experience working effectively in a cross-functional team environment is essential. 
•    Good knowledge of Design processes, including DFMEA, FEA, DFM etc. 

Education background required: 
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics 

Functional Skills/Knowledge: 
•    Good command of English speaking and writing. 
•    Ability to work with flexible adaptable teams and processes that embrace and cope with change and uncertainty.
•    Ability to support at least multiple projects simultaneously. 
•    Detail-oriented, versatile, organized, articulate and professional. 

Other Requirements： 
•    Traveling to CN/SEA supplier factory required
•    Communicating efficiently and find out solution quickly; 
•    Ability to work under pressure and work overtime if required at peak project times.
