As a Tax Manager at SharkNinja, you will lead critical aspects of global tax reporting and compliance, driving operational excellence and influencing strategic financial planning. Reporting to the Director of Tax Reporting & Operations, you will manage the end-to-end process for quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740 (Federal, State, and International) and oversee the execution of global tax compliance initiatives. In this leadership role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver actionable tax insights, implement process improvements, and elevate the use of tax technology and data management systems.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of the Company’s global tax provision, including effective tax rate, deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, and valuation allowances.

Oversee the development and execution of scalable tax data management processes—ensuring the efficient collection, transformation, and use of structured and unstructured tax data.

Identify and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and improve accuracy across tax workflows and documentation.

Serve as the primary tax liaison for SOX compliance, managing internal control documentation, coordinating with external auditors and service providers, and driving continuous improvement.

Manage the global tax compliance calendar and direct advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and disclosures across jurisdictions.

Supervise the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax filings, including international information reporting.

Direct tax audit strategies and lead responses to inquiries from taxing authorities, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance.

Conduct technical tax research to support strategic positions and communicate findings to leadership.

Monitor domestic and international tax law developments, evaluating the potential impact and leading proactive change.

Champion the use of tax technology and automation tools, recommending and implementing solutions to streamline compliance and reporting.

Provide leadership on strategic initiatives such as entity structuring, technology implementations, and internal reporting enhancements.

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and inclusion by supporting SharkNinja’s DEI and employee engagement efforts.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required; CPA, MST, or MSA strongly preferred.

5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience (Big 4, national firm, or in-house corporate tax).

Demonstrated leadership in managing tax provision processes and driving compliance excellence.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Experience with tax technology platforms (e.g., ONESOURCE, Corptax) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).

Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Positive attitude, good work ethic, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
