Vice President of Electrical Engineering 

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Electrical Engineering to lead one of our electrical engineering teams in the design, development, and production of consumer products. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in power electronics, embedded systems, and high-volume manufacturing, with a strong track record of delivering scalable, high-performance solutions from concept to mass production. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute the electrical engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives and product strategy. 
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in power electronics, embedded systems, and electrical design for consumer products. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, industrial design, R&D, mechanical engineering and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration and product success. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in electrical design, manufacturability, and reliability. 
  • Oversee the design, development, and validation of electrical systems for consumer electronics, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL, FCC, CE, IEC). 
  • Lead the selection and integration of power electronics, including power conversion, motor control, and energy-efficient architectures. 
  • Ensure the reliability and scalability of embedded system architectures. 
  • Guide the development of schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit simulations, ensuring robust design practices. 
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to optimize DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) for high-volume production. 
  • Partner with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and fabrication partners to drive cost-effective, high-quality production. 
  • Implement design validation testing (DVT) processes to ensure product reliability and quality. 
  • Build and mentor a high-performing electrical engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence. 
  • Provide technical mentorship and career development opportunities for engineers at all levels. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
  • Expertise in power electronics, including power conversion, battery systems, and motor control. 
  • Strong background in embedded systems design, including microcontrollers, firmware, and real-time operating systems. 
  • Proven experience in high-volume consumer product development from concept to mass production. 
  • Deep understanding of DFM, DFT, and regulatory compliance for consumer electronics. 
  • Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
