Staff Accountant 

The position of Staff Accountant will help in a variety of functions within SharkNinja. This will include preparing journal entries, summarizing results, general ledger analysis, and completing account reconciliations. This role will be focused on cost of goods sold, inventory accounting, and the oversight of inventory-related operating expenses.  This person will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong accounting processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP. This is a great opportunity to join a public, fast-paced business. The position will provide the opportunity to learn how high growth business models operate, all while obtaining substantial guidance, feedback, and mentoring from a Finance team with private and public accounting experience. 

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reconciliation of accounts in accordance with company policies and GAAP 
  • Proactively evaluate, enhance, and drive process improvement initiatives across accounting workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and adherence to best practices 
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to investigate and resolve transactional discrepancies in a timely manner 
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on financial matters 
  • Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and timely resolution of audit inquiries 
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data 
  • Support and maintain strong internal control policies and procedures 
  • Support warehouse audits onsite across various locations in the U.S. 
  • Assist in inventory control procedures 
  • Provide accounting support to other business units for special projects/ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as necessary 

Required experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA preferred but not required 
  • 1+ year of public or industry-specific accounting experience 
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Detail-oriented with proven analytical and organizational skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proactive approach to problem solving 
  • High degree of business acumen and emotional intelligence 
  • Team player with ability to effectively and efficiently work cross-functionally 

 

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

$58,400$93,000 USD
