The Sales Director of will report to the Managing Director, Mexico and play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with a variety of merchants in collaboration with SharkNinja corporate teams (marketing, strategic sales, supply chain, customer service and finance) to meet sales & profit, distribution, and digital goals. The Sales Director is based in the Mexico City, Mexico and will be hybrid. SharkNinja, the leading brands within home, is aggressively searching for the next sales leader to join our organization. We are on the hunt for someone who values strategic partnerships with external and internal teams and is eager to rise up within a growing Sales Organization at a fast pace company. Our Director of Sales must embody our success drivers of rarely satisfied, progress over perfection, details make the difference, winning is a team sport, and someone who communicates for impact. The Sales Director will have autonomy to drive SharkNinja’s business and be the sole owner for setting category growth targets that deliver outsize market share wins. This individual will also have fully P&L responsibility managing their own gross to net profitability for the accounts across both brands. The Sales Director will have leadership accountabilities for several Key Account Managers (KAMs) focused on Mexico Sales Channels (e.g. Club, Department Stores, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Best in Class account management Operation Plan, driving growth in Revenue and Net Margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business, with a clear path to goal achievement
- Ability to be a successful sales leader, acting as the “business manager “of your business, including cross-functional team leadership, financial and analytical savvy and demonstrated thought leadership on how to achieve breakthrough goals at Best Buy
- Own the “big picture” but also must have the ability to drill down and own the details as needed
- Manage customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop quotes for new items, and manage promotional spending within ROI (return on investment) goals
- Critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, often diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin $ and %
- Drive the strategy and own the outcome for customer meetings, leveraging internal support areas
- Execution focused; mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule to ensure success
- Work with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long-range plans
- Work with Strategic Sales and Analytics teams to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business
- Gather and communicate competitive factors impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)
- Lead and mentor sales team consisting of Account Managers and Replenishment Manager
- Responsible for creating development plans that support your team members’ career goals and aspirations
- Be a leader within the Minneapolis office as we continue to staff up this location with on-site talent
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BA / BS Degree or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of national account sales management or equivalent experience working directly with a retailer in a buying or merchandising function
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel ~25% of the time to Needham, Massachusetts Headquarters, trade shows, customer meetings outside of the Mexico City area
- Excellent analytical and technical skills to gather and analyze large sets of data and create reports for management
- Ability to work cross functionally and under pressure

- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build, develop and maintain solid relationships
- Proven analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage customer and SharkNinja expectations simultaneously
- Experience leading and managing a team
