Control Systems Engineering Co-op

Work Period: July Through Mid December

Location: Needham, MA Onsite 5 Days a Week. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

Summary of Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Control Systems Engineering Co-op to join our team. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be involved in the development of control systems and mechatronic systems for various consumer product applications.

Essential Functions

Design, develop, and test control systems for consumer product applications.
Develop and maintain control system documentation, including functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement control solutions.
Design and program control systems using programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and C++.
Develop and implement control algorithms such as classical control (e.g., PID) and advanced control (e.g., MPC) for real-time control applications.
Design and implement control systems using Arduino and other microcontrollers.

Education and Experience

Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Strong understanding of control system theory and design, including classical control and advanced control.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and C++.
Experience with Arduino and other microcontrollers.
Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

This co-op opportunity will provide valuable experience in the field of control systems engineering and mechatronics with a focus on programming skills and advanced control techniques.
